[Untitled Records]Facing the shift in the way we see the world after the earthquake, where our everyday reality had suddenly changed to something unknown, Kitajima started to travel across the country from Hokkaido to Okinawa, As he faces and documents the sceneries in each location, he would then publish the photographs as a self-published photography books. The series presents new phase of the photographer who has always been setting his eyes on the street.

Born 1954 in Nagano. In 1974, he studied under Daido Moriyama at WORKSHOP Photography School. In 1981, he received various awards including Photographic Society of Japan Newcomer's Award, Kimura Ihei Award, Ina Nobuo Award, and Higashikawa Domestic Photogprapher Award. His works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions domestically and internationally.
